Question 1

Do I need an eSIM for Eswatini?

Accepted Answer

If you want mobile data in Eswatini without paying expensive roaming fees, a travel eSIM is the easiest option. You install it before you leave and it connects automatically when you arrive.

Question 2

Will my phone work with a Eswatini eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as your phone is eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked. Most phones from 2018 onward qualify (iPhone XR/XS and newer, recent Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel). Dial *#06#, if you see an EID, you're good to go.

Question 3

When does my Eswatini eSIM start?

Accepted Answer

Your validity period begins the first time the eSIM connects to a network in Eswatini, not when you buy it. Install it before you travel and it activates on arrival.

Question 4

Can I keep my phone number in Eswatini?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The eSIM runs alongside your normal SIM and is data-only, so you keep your home number for calls and texts while using Turkey eSIM's eSIM for data in Eswatini.
